ACUEDUCTOS Announces Project of Improvements in the Water Distribution Network in VillalbaThe works will benefit 94 families and strengthen the reliability of the service in the Bravo Side sector of the Jagüeyes neighborhood.(Ponce, Puerto Rico – July 10, 2026) – The Executive Director of the Southern Region of the Aqueduct and Seawater Authority (AAA), Ing. Bruce León Ng, that the public corporation will carry out a project for the installation of approximately 630 feet of 2-inch drinking water pipeline at the intersection of the PR-513 and PR-5513 roads in the Bravo Side sector of the Jagüeyes neighborhood in Villalba as part of initiatives to strengthen the system distribution infrastructure.The project represents an investment of approximately $30,000 and will directly benefit 94 families in the area.The work will be carried out by AAA staff, reaffirming the Authority’s commitment toining and strengthening the drinking water infrastructure.The works will take place on Monday, 13 and Tuesday, 14 July 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The intervention consists of the installation of a new pipeline section that will contribute to improving the reliability of the drinking water distribution system in this community.As part of the operational planning of the project, there will be no need to interrupt the drinking water service. Customers supported by the Jagüey Filter Plant will continue to receive the service normally during the execution of the work.“These improvements are part of our commitment to continue strengthening the drinking water distribution infrastructure and to carry out planned interventions that allow us to maintain a more reliable service for our subscribers,” said engineer Bruce León Ng.The AAA urged drivers to exercise caution when travelling through the area, as vehicle flow will remain limited during the development of the works due to the presence of personnel, heavy equipment and machinery. It is recommended to use alternating routes, reduce speed and follow the instructions of the stationed personnel on the spot to ensure everyone's safety.The Authority will continue to implement improvement projects aimed at strengthening the reliability of the drinking water distribution system and thanks citizens for their understanding and cooperation as these work is completed.###
